The basis is our non-smoking 40% original single malt whiskey, which we aged in new oak barrels for four years. Then it is stored for one year in 195 liter barrels of white North American oak, which initially used to age bourbon. Subsequently, they traveled to Nicaragua to age heavy sweet rums. For finishing we chose barrels from rum aged 25 years in a classic way.
Finishing in these barrels gives our whiskey a long, delicate body with a distinctive rum aroma with tones of tropical fruit and caramel. The whiskey is finished with a vanilla-cinnamon head in the intense smell of new leather.
