Welschriesling, Where Tradition Meets Taste.
Hermes is the name for the highest range of white wines from the Gala winery.
For Hermes wines, they select grapes from the best locations. The wines mature on new or older oak and acacia barrels.
Welschriesling, also known as Olaszrizling (Hungary) or Laski Rizling (Slovenoia), has its origins in Central Europe. Welschriesling is not related to Riesling. What is in common Welschriesling delivers also outstanding wines, fresh with aromas of citrus and green apple. Gala Welschriesling adds complexity by maturing in oak barrels and on the lees for several month.
TASTING NOTES
Pale lemoncolor with aromas of ripe golden apple, fresh citrus, white pepper, sappy herbs, light stony mineral tones, a hint of creaminess and a touch of savory wood spice.
The wine is bright, clean and mineral on the palate with medium body and crisp acidity. Flavors of lemon, apples, white peach are followed by honeysuckle and cream. A dry wine, complex and textured.
This wine is ready to drink now, but also can age in the bottle due to high alcohol, acidity and quality of the grapes.
