A true "hidden taste" the cuvée of Pinot noir and Merlot: elegant, complex, full-bodied.
Definitely a red wine that has something to offer.
Bergrus is the premium brand of the Gala winery from the vineyard with the same name. Only the best grapes are harvested by hand. The wine ages in oak barrels for 12 months and in the bottle for several months.
The vineyard with a total area of 1.4 ha is located in the Unesco protected region on a long southern slope between the picturesque villages of Bavory and Perná. The soil composition with Rendzinen and calcareous loess produce excellent quality from Merlot and Pinot Noir grapes.
TASTING NOTES
In the glass, the cuvée presents itself with a deep red color with a touch of brick red.
An elegant bouquet of stone fruit paired with red fruits is complemented with aromas of dried plums and spices such as bay leaf and clove.
This intensely-flavoured wine shows well-ripened fruit and chocolate which enhance the complexity.
The texture is cha-racterized by supple, silky tannins and elegant undertones of wood. This wine has excellent persistence.
